Why Take
Teacher Training?
Syllabus
This course, September 2008 through May 2009, will provide
you with a comprehensive and deep understanding of Kundalini Yoga,
as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

Students will participate in thorough
explanations and experience of: asanas, kriyas, pranayams, mantras,
the chakras, naadis, the
naad, and the 10 yogic bodies.

We will discuss intensively: diet for an effective
yoga practice, yogic anatomy, the immune
system, yogic history, the art and science of
relaxation, and foot massage among other facets
of Kundalini Yoga.

The student will be well prepared to lead
others in and explain the benefi ts of Kundalini
Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
Teacher
Trainers
It is a 220 hour course. The fee includes 180 hours of direct classroom
instruction by trained, certified Kundalini Yoga trainers and 40 hours of assignments. You will
be asked to study and practice on your own with close mentoring
and guidance by your trainers. Local, national and international
trainers will participate. You will earn fully accredited membership
in the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association. (One year’s
membership is included.)

turn the
serious yoga student into a knowledgeable and confident teacher.
Utilizing
the ancient and powerful tools of Kundalini Yoga, you will become
one with your breath, your mind, your body and your soul. Your selfimposed
limits will turn into landmarks on your journey towards your highest
consciousness.
This
program will supply you with the knowledge and awareness that will
deepen your life experience, expand your confi dence, and enable
you to uplift others towards a more peaceful, stable, strong and
stress-free life.
Through
lectures, practice, discussion and teaching, you will understand
how to teach Kundalini Yoga Kriyas, Postures and Meditations; the
Role of
a Kundalini Yoga Teacher; Philosophy and Origins of Kundalini Yoga;
Yogic & Western Anatomy; and Humanology & 3HO Lifestyle.
IKYTA
Membership
Membership
entitles you to recognition in a professional international organization;
a quarterly teachers’ newsletter; discounts on yogic products
and a discount on the annual IKYTA conference.
Course
Dates
The schedule will be set as we begin the course with input from all participants. All students will be required to participate fully in at
least 90% of the classes. Generally, we meet twice a month. One or more weekends may require classes over three days when we have
visiting teachers.
Bi-weekly schedule: Fridays–3 hrs, Saturdays and Sundays –8 hrs
Tuition
& Enrollment
Course tuition is $1,999. Early enrollment (fully paid by 1/15/08) is $1,800. Full time college or high school student rate – $1,499.

Tuition includes three required books and membership in IKYTA. Cost of the 20 required yoga classes is discounted ($5/class). White Tantric
Yoga costs are not included.
Requirements
The KRI Teacher Training team reserves the right to grant KRI Certification based solely on their discretion and evaluation of each participant’s readiness to be a Kundalini Yoga teacher.
This evaluation is based on successfully meeting the KRI Teacher Training course requirements including, but not limited to:
- Attendance at all classes
- Completion of a 40 day yoga set/
meditation, personal sadhana, 20
Kundalini Yoga Classes outside
Teacher Training, and participation
in one day of White Tantric Yoga
- Current membership in IKYTA
(included in course fees)
- Full payment of course fees
- Participation in five morning sadhanas
at a 3HO Kundalini Yoga Center
- Proper personal representation of
the Code of Professional Standards
for Kundalini Yoga Teachers.
- Satisfactory practicum assessments
- Passing grade on the KRI written exam
Reading
– Required & Recommended
The Aquarian Teacher- Level One Yoga Manual and Level One Textbook as well as The Master’s Touch by Yogi Bhajan are included in your tuition and will be used by your trainers in practice, study and discussion.
It is recommended that you acquaint yourself, as part of your Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training, with one or more of the many texts examining yoga in general and Kundalini Yoga in particular. The 3HO Kundalini Yoga Center has an excellent selection of books you may purchase. There is also a
variety of CDs and DVDs. back
